In 1995, Martin Martinez arrived in Salt Lake City with a vision of opening a taqueria that sold authentic and affordable street tacos and burritos like those from his native Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He fulfilled this dream by opening the first Taqueria El Rey De Oros at 175 S. 900 W. in Salt Lake City in September 1995. After 23 successful years, Martin retired and passed the business to his two daughters, who continue to run the restaurant with the same passion and dedication. Now located in West Jordan, we invite you to visit and enjoy the same great service, prices, and authentic, delicious food that made us a local favorite.
